If a hospital finds that there is a need for a change or update in the current version of NordDRG, they are more than welcome to contact and make a suggestion to the National organization.
Who contacts the national organization?
There is no strict rule, who is aloud to contact the national organizations from the hospitals. For example it may just as well be a doctor, a specialist or a director.
The national organizations are the same parties as the owners of the Nordic Casemix Centre.
Exploring the suggestions from hospitals
When a national organization has received the suggestions from hospitals, national organizations will explore them. This means that they go through their national databases and test how would the change affect to the costs.
Nordic Casemix Centre
The Nordic Casemix Centre coordinates the maintenance, updating and further development of the NordDRG system. The NordDRG cooperation is led by the Board of the centre and by an Expert Network Group with members nominated by all participating countries.
