Operational principles

Nordic Casemix Centre coordinates the maintenance, updating and further development of the NordDRG system. However there are some ways also to the other stakeholder parties how they can take part in the updating and further development.

Hospitals

If a hospital finds that there is a need for a change or update in the current version of NordDRG, they are more than welcome to contact and make a suggestion to the National organization.

Who contacts the national organization?

There is no strict rule, who is aloud to contact the national organizations from the hospitals. For example it may just as well be a doctor, a specialist or a director.

National organization

The national organizations are the same parties as the owners of the Nordic Casemix Centre.

Exploring the suggestions from hospitals

When a national organization has received the suggestions from hospitals, national organizations will explore them. This means that they go through their national databases and test how would the change affect to the costs.
